Finally I got one of my own machines fully restored with a new coat of turquoise powder coat. Usually Hank is so busy doing other cranker's machines but this summer he started on my Legare 47. It was really dirty, but no permanent sign of wear. My "Baby Doe" was a mothers day eBay purchase. She cost $460
Hank does a remarkable job of restoring the old metal to a very bright clean surface. He restores the cams to original specs and installs all new stainless steel fittings.
For this 6 hole mast top he bent new yarn tensioners and wires. He also added a new longer mast, putting powder coating on all major parts to eliminate future oxidation.
He reshaped, cleaned & buffed the yarn feeder then opened it up and installed a pig tail for easy threading.
He installed spacers on critical Ribber adjusting screws so that perfect setting is never lost. The cylinders and dials were supper cleaned inside and out then buffed to a shine.
With little Phrodo's help........
